Look at the selections of "Unicorn Beetle" on amazon. If there's one that fits your mom's new phone, it'll be relatively cheap (compared to, say, Otterbox and Lifeproof which have gone the way of "you're paying For the NAME")

The last time I got a new phone, I immediately started looking for a case that would protect the screen from cracking. It was a new model, so there weren't a lot of cases on the market yet for it. I eventually found one after about a week -- the day *after* the screen cracked :-(
