1. Poor Peridot and Pumpkin. I'm assuming Peridot is sleeping in the tub because she's depressed and not because she actually needs sleep. Does Pumpkin need sleep?

2. Nanefua is better at setting boundaries than Steven. Color me unsurprised.

3. Ronaldo is seriously overdue for a personal growth episode. Like Lars had. In fact, let's exile Ronaldo to space. It'll do him a world of good.

4. Is that a scientifically accurate depiction of a half-earth as seen from the moon? I'd've thought that the shadow moves sideways, as our shadow on the moon does from earth.

5. Wow, Pearl is standing in a really funny position. What is she doing with her feet?

6. I kinda feel like Peridot could use some serious mental health care. Steven's listening ear and healing spit is not quite enough.

7. Lion is smarter than your average lion because Rose Quartz brought him back to life. Also, he can teleport. Lars has the same magic hair - did he also get an intelligence upgrade and the ability to teleport?

8. Did Amethyst just say the word sigh instead of sighing? I'm going to be thinking about that all ep now. Don't question my priorities.

9. Before anybody tells anybody anything, I want to see if that phone screen is cracked. I don't want to be thinking about that too!

10. Soooooo even if the trailer hadn't spoiled this, I read the spoilers and know how this ends. Can I just assume that Pearl only "accidentally" lost her phone?

11. She sure does have a lot of phone numbers!

12. But why a clownfish?

13. The dream within a dream.

14. Poor Pearl. She's stuck with the knowledge forever that RQ/PD wouldn't just trust her to use her best judgment.

15. Also, with all the commentary on how selfish/selfless PD's decision was, I gotta say, I'm stuck on the thought of all those Rose Quartz gems, permanently bubbled and lucky not to be shattered. She might not have anticipated the warping ray, but she must have known the other diamonds would take out their anger/grief on innocents.

Agh! More Steven universe! I want it, yet I'm not sure I want it right now, yet I don't want to keep skirting spoilers. Oh well, I'll figure it out.

Now I watched them. Ok, wow, that was an appropriate amount of plot! :)

In retrospect, people picked up on several correct hints that that might be the case[1]. But then Pink Diamond was shown explicitly as a separate being, and I just thought, "oh well, apparently not". But I didn't stop to think they might be part-right. Or they might be the same but not KNOWN to be the same.

So many feelings, especially about Pearl.

[1] After all, the show has before revealed things which were clearly there but not explicit, like Ruby+Sapphire, which makes me think that it's likely there ARE hints to be picked up. Some shows I'd just say, "if they were foreshadowing, it would be a lot more blatant", but with SU, I knew it MIGHT be possible.

14. Poor Pearl. She's stuck with the knowledge forever that RQ/PD wouldn't just trust her to use her best judgment.

Also, all of Pearl's talk about being a free Pearl was a lie she was forced to tell, at least until Steven was born. Rose treated her terribly, which goes along with the fact that Rose also gots lots of gems killed (and all those Rose Quartz's bubbled) for no reason other than a desire to play hero. Given that Earth was her world and I can't imagine the other diamonds going to war against her. If she'd stood up to them, she likely could have gotten them to back off and give her Earth as it was. However, she wanted to play hero and have the other gems love her and not simply obey her because she was PD.

Also, I need to rewatch "The Trial" - because at the end of that episode I was certain that Yellow Diamond had killed PD - YD knows something and seemed even sketchier than usual during the trial.

Ha ha, just glad I figured it out because the other options honestly didn't make as much sense imo. Plus, hearing Joel and Tom Scharpling was great for me.

What amused me most was Garnet's expression at the end. Given the last few episodes, this was definitely beyond any of her conceived deviations.

Re: 15, i think she was aware of sacrifices as she kept trying to convince the other diamonds it wasn't worth it. Unfortunately, it still changed nothing.
