Apparently, all the Animorphs books are available for free as ebooks. Legally, I mean.

So if you ever wanted to introduce your kids to the series, well, now's the time!

Relatedly, many years ago I went through the positively herculean effort of cataloguing all of our 850+ picture books. I reviewed them, carefully crossposting each review to three sites, and I labeled each book with its guided reading level... something which involved me doing way more research into reading leveling systems than I ever wanted to do.

I've been backburnering a plan to review all our chapter books ever since.

Over on [community profile] books there is one person who doggedly has been posting reviews there for months and months. She's currently the only one. This seems sadder to me than if there was nobody posting there at all. Meanwhile, I know lots of people I read who post book reviews on their journals. I don't want to suddenly swamp her with my kidlit reviews, because that's weird, but for some reason a whole bunch of people suddenly posting there seems less weird to me. If some of you agree to crosspost your reviews at [community profile] books - or even just post a link to your primary site when you review a book - I guess I'll suck it up and start the tedious business of re-reading all our books and reviewing them in, um, four places.

shit we have a lot of books. this is a scary proposition.

I do that on talkbooks over on LJ- no one else has posted in years, but I figure maybe someone might be reading. So I've joined books and now there can be two people posting....
