Why the hell am I still getting pimples with my period?

(I know you shouldn't pop those suckers, and I religiously advise the girls to leave them alone if they get any, but the second I'm alone, just me and my PMS-induced acne....)

True enough that there's a marker at the site of McKinley's assassination, but when I was there it was an inconspicuous thing along a quiet street, with no informative displays or anything like that.

Author says: "During this time, a team of self-serving doctors probed Garfield’s wounds with unwashed fingers and instruments, allowing the President to contract an infection that would ultimately kill him."

Yes, and the foolishness of this was known at the time. Guiteau, the assassin, even testified at his trial: "It was the doctors who killed Garfield. I merely shot him." And that's correct. Even without antibiotics, he could easily have survived the injury.

A clever battery designer would incorporate elements of Franklin's Bells (ie, a clapper between two bells, and one bell is grounded) and charge accumulation on the ungrounded bell would keep it ringing, in addition to the small voltage resulting from the chemical pile.

I don't know, but it's still normal, as far as reading about it has ever gotten me goes. I get them around the last two weeks of some (but not most months) but then there was nothing for maybe the last year, then I started a non-cycle breakout this month...thinking it's an anti-oxidant serum I've been using because there's really no other explanation. It's also worse than most of my break-outs (which is usually one tiny pimple somewhere not too far from my mouth - but this month I've got like a freaking trifecta going on on my chin that just won't quit).

Recent reading on Reddit says that spearmint supplements might do something for hormonal acne? I haven't done the research yet, but I'm gonna.

40 and I still break out and it sucks.

The child bride story was great, thanks for the link.

And alas, I've got both wrinkles and pimples...

It's a myth dermatologists -- or amateur pimple experts -- tell you; in a large percentage of women hormones never settle to the degree that those "puberty pimples" disappear (and hormones are likely not the only factor, either).

I struggle with mild acne, but a few years ago I decided I was done with it and now I take medication. :( It works maybe 70% of the time, but it's better than 0.

EDIT: I'm almost 32.

Most people get pimples with or before their periods. Acne isn't just for teenagers; mine persisted right up until my periods ended. That's yet another thing to love about blessed menopause: the damn zits finally go away.

Wait, you have a uterus? I never really thought about what sort of genitive organs you may or may not have, but something between the combination of your usual firey icon plus the fact that it seems like 90% of what you post is links rather than personal content, and what personal content you do post is often rather cryptic all combined to make me very surprised at this revelation.

I suppose the user name could have been part of my confusion, looking at it closer, it is a sorta masculine arrangement of letters.

Thanks. I have a "too much information" filter that gets used rarely, sometimes for sharing things that have to do with someone else as well as me, so for their sake it isn't publicly accessible, and sometimes because I am writing about something that some people really would consider too much information. If you want to be added to that, let me know.
