They used to sell four hour wristbands, now it looks like they only sell all-day wristbands with the requisite price markup. But at least those wristbands let them go on the Cyclone, which the old ones didn't. And it did randomly rain for an hour right after we arrived, so I guess we got our money's worth.

One of these days I hope to get there. I haven't been to an amusement park since my wife and I went to Cedar Point in Ohio on the last day of our honeymoon 12 years ago. We skipped all of the new rides and did wood roller coasters all day long, never waiting for more than one cycle to get on the ride. It was wonderful.

All of this speedpass stuff just seems to be another way for the parks to lever more money out of our wallets.

Credits for the rides?  Wow!  I remember when Disneyland had E-tickets and such, I didn't know anyone still did that! Yeah, I'd think a pass would be cheaper, especially if you're going to spend the day.  And I love the idea of making the kids sit on benches while the adults enjoy the rides.  But with smartphones, it's not like they'd be bored.
