conulyWalked into my corner store yesterday. The man behind the counter was expounding on the sun, specifically the fact that the sun was dying (!) and had been replaced with a counterfeit sun - five counterfeit suns, to be exact (!!), and this is why the plants were no longer photosynthesizing correctly (!!!!!) and why there was moss on them.
This is where I spoke up. "That's not moss, it's lichens."

I had an elderly relative until recently (died in February) who was absolutely convinced every time she left her room at the nursing home and came back, which was at least daily, that she was returning to a different room, which happened to look just like the one she had been in earlier that day, and the staff had moved all her stuff into the new room while she was out. Also her same roommates. She was certain of this. ETA: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reduplicative_paramnesia which seems, actually, like the reverse, only maybe not.
