Seconding that "GOOD."

The vote was reprensible tho. That's not a political party, it's a creepy cult, and I hope it ends as badly as it deserves.

That's what happens when you let sovcits and ultra liberts into your state. Almost feel relieved given how they considered invading Vermont politics instead.

2 Thessalonians 3:10 occurs in an epistle a fair few scholars (and I) think is patched together from various letters to the community, but the major theme of the epistle as we have it is What About That Apocalypse, Eh? That suggests to me among many others that Paul was saying, "Sure, the Day of the Lord is coming, but don't quit your day job."

Of course, exhortations to feed the hungry are ubiquitous in both Hebrew Bible and the New Testament, whatever Paul meant by the passage.

"`Now when the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. And all the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate them from one another like a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right and the goats on the left. Then the king will say to those on his right, "Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world! For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me as a guest, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you cared for me, I was in prison and you came to me." Then the righteous will answer him, saying, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you as a guest, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?" And the king will answer and say to them, "Truly I say to you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me." Then he will also say to those on his left, "Depart from me, you accursed ones, into the eternal fire that has been prepared for the devil and his angels! For I was hungry and you did not give me anything to eat, I was thirsty and you did not give me anything to drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me as a guest, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not care for me." Then they will also answer, saying, "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and not serve you?" Then he will answer them, saying, "Truly I say to you, in as much as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.' And these will depart into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."'”
- Matthew 25: 31-46

Which is also one of the very rare moments of anything like a hell, in the Bible.

I'm impressed that comic companies like Marvel managed to last so long because of their print format. To put it in perspective, I can't think of any other paper industry that has held up so well. Ironically, even manga has that major issue as I usually only get physical copies of authors I really, REALLY, like to display.

A lot of the issues The Atlantic article points out reminds me why I loathed getting into mainstream comics. Someone I knew raved in anger when he found out Blue Beetle was getting canned, and I had no idea why, and when I finally gave in, I pretty much bought a book that felt like it was cut out of a bunch of other books featuring a ton of people I have no idea about. It was so overdeveloped that I gave up after that and promised never to buy another series unless it was new or fairly standalone.

I'll also concede to being part of a fan of their diversity push, as I have tried out Wilson's "Ms. Marvel" as well as the new "Ghost Rider" which featured a hot rod Hispanic character instead. Both were fairly decent enough for me to keep trying despite my concerns. The only other thing I tried was the whole Spiderverse and only because they bothered including Japanese sentai Spiderman, which was Spiderman in a giant Power Rangers-style robot.

One thing The Atlantic did not notice as well that has kept folks like me away from trying Marvel and DC series is that the online copies are priced at the same rate as print ones. Almost every other publisher I've seen online usually cuts the price by a dollar or so for older issues and I found it helped me get into a lot of new titles in the process.

Oh, and re: China, it would make sense they could find utility in those flies; they're also one of the few countries that would ever think of farming roaches for food as well.

Some friends of mine, NH natives that they are, also were happy to see Mr. Red Pill gone.

Sorry for the rant, the Marvel issue just seems like such a "duh" moment for me.

"Paris mayor says 'solution' found for black feminist event."

Ugh. So fed up with the political backlash when people can't even be bothered to learn what it is about. It allows us to keep on thinking that racism only exists in the USA.
