Came out with two each duck and chicken feet, lamb and pig ears (each dog liked a different body part more, so that's nice and even), and also a bag of Himalayan dog chews. And a new 6 foot leash.
Forgot the toothpaste.
The bag for the Himalayan dog chews says the ingredient list includes cow milk, yak milk, lime juice, and salt. It then continues "no chemicals or preservatives". Excuse me, exactly what do you guys think "salt" is if not a chemical and a preservative? Not to mention that lime juice.
The dogs are intensely interested in having it, but not in chewing it. Dogs are very strange animals, and I'm still weirded out by the fact that they don't purr.

Date: 2017-05-03 02:46 pm (UTC)As for Finn, the whole sorry story is on my journal several times by now, because I am just incensed at it, but long story short the people who owned him were neglectful, and after the second time we found him out with no tags, no id, no nothing we took him to the shelter, as we told those people we would. And we did leave a note on the porch, and now we've adopted him! Legally and everything.
(Edit: To be very clear, it wasn't just the fact that they didn't supervise this poor animal and keep him from escaping multiple times over the past year - something they admitted to themselves! That was just the icing on the cake.)

Date: 2017-05-03 11:00 am (UTC)... To be fair, it wasn't a cat purr, it was this adorable snort/purr/sigh thing, usually when he was getting petted. I'm told it's very much an individual dog quirk, and often a retriever thing. Oh God was it cuuuuuuute!
