Don't need to take a shower. Do need to do laundry. I must find socks, and clean them. *sighs* I guess I'll do that in the morning, I'm too lazy now. And if LJ weren't so stupid lately, I'd write a real entry, but I can't risk losing it.

In good news, I've figured out why I couldn't find out anything on Noel Streatfeild, other than the fact that she's not as well known as she ought to be (at least, not in the US...) and many of her books are out of print (*cries*)... I was spelling her name wrong! And many of her books AREN'T out of print, apparently, in England. I must now either get a job or start begging people to buy children's books for me with extravagant shipping costs.

Yes, but they're hard to find in bookstores. I can't order things online, I have to harass my mom (no income of my own...) and that takes ages. Though I was thrilled to note that Skating Shoes isn't actually out of print, just renamed as "White Boots".

Honestly, she's harder to find than John Marsden, and that's saying something.

I know that somewhere around here I have at least one Streatfield book, but I can't remember which it is. (I think it was Ballet Shoes, but for some reason I remember it as involving the girl roller skating at the end as well.) If I track it down and it turns out to not be one you already have, would you like to have it?

Sure thing. I think I've lost most of mine anyway. I only ever had Skating Shoes (gone, definitely), Theater Shoes, Dancing Shoes, and Ballet Shoes (also gone, and it was a lovely pre-reprint edition too....)
