Don't need to take a shower. Do need to do laundry. I must find socks, and clean them. *sighs* I guess I'll do that in the morning, I'm too lazy now. And if LJ weren't so stupid lately, I'd write a real entry, but I can't risk losing it.

In good news, I've figured out why I couldn't find out anything on Noel Streatfeild, other than the fact that she's not as well known as she ought to be (at least, not in the US...) and many of her books are out of print (*cries*)... I was spelling her name wrong! And many of her books AREN'T out of print, apparently, in England. I must now either get a job or start begging people to buy children's books for me with extravagant shipping costs.

You can tell where I spend my time online...

Most of them aren't out of print in the USA, either... Amazon has all of the in-print ones plus the usual used copies of all the out-of-print editions. (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=books&field-author=Streatfield%2C%20Noel/002-2723740-8996051) :-)

I know that somewhere around here I have at least one Streatfield book, but I can't remember which it is. (I think it was Ballet Shoes, but for some reason I remember it as involving the girl roller skating at the end as well.) If I track it down and it turns out to not be one you already have, would you like to have it?

I'm pretty sure White Boots is the original name, or at least that's what I've always known it as...anyway, if you'd be willing to pay shipping + cost of the books, I could get hold of them for you, I'm pretty sure. White Boots, Dancing Shoes and Ballet Shoes for certain, and probably the rest if you can get a list together.

I meant to mention that in that post :) It wasn't my fault- PNSI was down, and it took several weeks to get a reply from the people that do PNSI (and the reply was just along the lines of "it's working fine now"). brits_americans says don't bother with PNSI, but my local postie wouldn't let me get round it.

However, it appears to be working now, and so I signed up today. So, do you want to do the candy exchange?
