Barbara Frietchie has hung up her flag, the rebels are marching through the streets, and if you ask me the last nine couplets are really boring and we might as well end after "Dies like a dog". I mean, we won't, but... LOL, today Ana was being a pain about doing some math (four word problems is just not that arduous), and I told her to get up already, "Up, Ana!" so she started reciting from the top. Boy, we laughed, but she still refused to do her math until we dragged it out of her.
How do you say Frietchie, anyway? It occurs to me that I should have settled this before I started working with Ana. I didn't, though.
Eva has learned Stopping By The Woods, and now we're doing an easy one on mice.
And then Ana gets to pick out some monologues to practice for her audition for Mark Twain. God, I want her in a decent middle school.
