I was heartened by the WSJ comments saying straightforwardly that it was a really bad article. And those saying there were more non-competitive runners these days because there were so many more runners, total.

You'd think basic statistics like that would be required for anybody interested in business, but you'd think wrong. At any rate, the comments were more overwrought gloom and doom when I read them.
