Eva says her class has a better crop of kids this year. It could hardly be worse, though. Her teacher seems a bit harried and prone to worry, though - when I introduced myself as Eva's aunt she wanted to check the blue card to make sure she could go home with me! (The blue card I diligently fill out every year, though of course we had not done that yet.) But with the crowd she settled for letting the principal vouch for me ("hey, do me a favor? Wave to my niece's teacher so she knows I can take the kid home, would you?") instead.
Ana isn't in class with her best friends (they all seem to be in the same class without her) BUT she is with the same teacher she had last year, who was great. And she does have lunch and recess with her friends, so that's something.
