Fuck, what? Nooo.
Mar. 11th, 2016 11:51 pmWe need CUNY to have a decent budget. Odds are, the girls will end up at CUNY schools. (After all, it's only one of the largest university systems in the country... just don't ask me to rank it precisely, because there are apparently several ways to calculate this.)
One of the comments points out that upstate keeps threatening to secede. I don't know what they think that would accomplish when we pay all the taxes, but every few years they pull that one out. I can only imagine that cooler, more rational heads keep on prevailing, but I really wish they'd stop doing that already and let their upstate brethren go ahead and secede like God intended. (Also on my list of things I'm sure would be magically fixed if NYC controlled all those taxes: The MTA budget. Like, for real.)
