Nobody is a victim of Down's Syndrome. Down's Syndrome does not run up to people and punch them in the face. People have Down's Syndrome, are challenged by it, are special, I don't care, but nobody is a victim of Down's Syndrome.

Autism doesn't strike kids, nor snatch them away. Your kid was not knocked to the ground, and you know exactly where he/she is. Autism isn't lightning or a kidnapper.

Fate doesn't favor the bold, fate is just a fancy word for "what happens". Fate can't favor anything because FATE ISN'T A PERSON. Religion isn't oppressive, oppresive religious people are. Latin: I can identify passages from each of the last 5 eclogues (excluding the 8th one). I know the main plot of each. I *do* need to study specific words, and the 7th, but I should be fine.

The draft bill. Yeah, it's scary, yeah, it's important, yeah, it's only posted once or twice a week PER LIBERAL COMMUNITY. Until something new happens, I don't wanna hear about it.

The poetry-banning case. Unless you're posting something new, don't post it. I mean it. See "the draft bill".

The letter to Dr. Laura. It's been around since, what, 1998? We've all seen it. Dozens of times. Probably in our inboxes. It's not new, it's not especially clever (interesting, and funny, but not clever), and it's old.

The pictures of the prisoners in Iraq. Yes, this is very important. Yes, I care. No, I don't want to see them on my friends page and can you learn to use an LJ-cut PLEASE? We've all seen them. Even if you want to talk about what they made you feel, or what you think about them, you don't need to post the pictures. We've seen them.

I'll make a pre-emptive strike and say "anything about Bush falling off his bike and getting a skinned knee". It's funny now, but it won't be in a week.
