Random update

Latin: I can identify passages from each of the last 5 eclogues (excluding the 8th one). I know the main plot of each. I *do* need to study specific words, and the 7th, but I should be fine.

Kitten: Does ANYBODY in or near the city want a cute, friendly, somewhat sick black kitten?

Avoid the shelters since he's sick...

Whatever you do, just don't take him to a shelter... *Most* shelters will euthanize an animal upon accepting it if it is at all sick. Many will test for specific communicable illnesses, and euthanize if they get a "positive" on any test, even if it's an illness that can be treated and won't harm the cat's long-term quality of life. Not cool.

I would take the little guy, but "the city" for me is perhaps 3,000 miles away from what you call "the city"! *g* I would bet that zathras26 would take him, except I have no idea how you two would meet up unless you can drive to Maryland. :-/

The vet by us won't put any animal to sleep unless they are clearly not going to recover, and suffering. So most of the time I just sneak over there in the middle of the night and leave a kitten in a box. It's a stupid thing to do, and not fair to them, but they find homes for any abandoned animal.
