To be updated as I go on. I think I'll send it to my mom and ask her to print it, handwriting it is such a trial:

si quis: if anyone (I should've know that, after all: after si, nisi, num, and ne, all the ali's drop away)
tamen: yet, however (another one I SHOULD KNOW)
pinguis: fat, fertile
oportet: it is proper
iniussa: spontaneous (duh, it's in-iussa!)
quoque: also (and I'm not the only one who brainfarts on this)
myricae: tamarisk
nemus: grove
gratior: welcome (?)
impleo: fill up
mugitibus: mooing
forte: by chance
hesterno: yesterday
venas: no idea. Help?
procul: from a distance
tantum: so great (yet another word I ought to know)
delapsa: fallen (it has a lapse, easy to recall)
ansa: handle
cantharus: goblet
luso: trick
iniciunt: throw on
pingit: paints
frontis: forehead
rupes: cliff
simul: at the same time, together (simultaneously)
vultis: you wish, are willing
tum: then (wow, I really need to work on my adverbs)
inane: emptiness (makes sense, I just have to stop saying inane)
coacta: were gathered together
concreverit: grew
pontus: the sea
discludere: to divide, set off
summotis: drive off (the motis is a big hint)
lapides: stone
latrantibus: bark, bark at (participle, though)

Any advice for mnemonics is welcomed heartily.

I just read your user info and I can't believe that I've finally found someone who has the same problem. I'm not autistic, but I *do* have dyssemia, which sounds like the same thing. I can be talking and talking and talking and be annoying the HECK out of someone and I won't realize it until they verbally tell me. I can't read body language or emotions hardly at ALL! I just wanted to say that it's nice to see someone else who has the same problem...annoying as it may be =0(

Oh gosh...I just went to read about Asperger's and it sounds EXACTLY what I have! It's so accurate that it's downright FREAKY! Especially the part about being obsessed about a subject to the point to where it drives people insane. I also constantly feel the need to ask others "what they think" since I can't tell if I'm annoying them or they think I'm crazy or just what. My mom says that when I was little, I used to annoy my friends really badly by constantly saying "Isn't this cool!!?!" or "Are you having fun!?!" when we'd go places, since I didn't know how they felt. I also skipped a grade and started college classes at age 15. I was ALWAYS the odd one out, even as a very young child, before schoolage. I'm also VERY shy, but once someone starts to get to know me, I can be overly-friendly. This just sounds SO MUCH like me! Dang....I wonder if there is any kind of treatment for it. Is this what you have?

Also, the link you gave to NVLD doesn't work.

Do you have any instant messengers?

Totally cheating here by leaping in on [livejournal.com profile] conuly's LJ. I tend to do that. Bad me. *g*

I've known that I'm an autie for about 3 years now, my partner is autie, my friends are all auties... There's nothing wrong with it; we're just different from NTs. As one very bright autie kid I know said, "I can understand trying to cure things that kill
people or make them sick, but why try to cure something that just makes people different?" :-)

Here are some links for you to check out:

OK, I'd better shut up now before [livejournal.com profile] conuly strangles me for taking over her LJ... ;-)

OK. After all, it's easier to reply to people on somebody else's LJ than even look at the avalanche of email I get privately asking for help... *snicker*

No need to feel pressured to reply to my comments in anything resembling a timely manner anyway... I'd be a big hypocrite if I expected a reply at all. (I'm *awful* at answering comments.)

Do you have to go to a psychiatrist to get diagnosed or what? Cos I do NOT like psychiatrists/psychologists.

I'm actually fine with being weird, it's just the annoying people on accident and not knowing what anyone is thinking at any given time that I'd like to be able to change.

Thanks for the links!!

So a lot of these people haven't been diagnosed? I'm just curious since I'm new to this.
