More recipes! Yay!

Just randomly surfing, came across a page with this gem:
Poisonous Sumac...
A deeply troubled American wrote to me earlier with the following:
Is your "recipe" just an evil trick? A way to poision the Americans? That could be inferred. Sumac is highly posionous!
You said: "Sumac is a deep reddish spice that is tangy and grainy." From the page you linked: English=Shumac, Sicilian sumac "The closely related New-World genus Toxicodendron contains only plants that (as can be inferred by the genus name "poisonous tree") are highly toxic."
In Iraq YOU may be eating a safe spice, but in the "New World" (North America, USA, etc), the variation of that plant that grows there is posionous!

No, dear, paranoid friend- I'm not trying to POISON *you* or anyone else... I had no idea sumac was deadly in your part of the world and even provided a link to better inform you of the plant. I assume that if you purchase it at a supermarket, it will not be poisonous... but what do I know?
Note: If I give you the recipe to a mushroom soup, I assume you won't use the poisonous mushrooms. Give me a break people.
*giggles* Seriously... she doesn't expect you to harvest the sumac yourself, ditz!

If you want to talk to me about something regarding my livejournal, comment IN MY LIVEJOURNAL. I will NOT discuss my posts outside of LJ. Not only do I not see the point, but that seems likely to stifle discussion... nobody else can reply to your comments if I'm the only one to see them. Also, when I'm talking to somebody in real life, I like to talk about things I haven't already talked to death. Funny thing, that. I really don't like always talking about me, and I certainly don't want my real life conversations with friends to be dominated by flippant comments in my livejournal!

2. Very personal statements... if something I've said prompts you to discuss your sex life, go ahead and email me.
3. I'm the one who brings it up OR it has to do with something between the two of us.
I most emphatically will NOT reply to comments along the lines of "what did so-and-so mean when he said this in your journal?" Ever. If you want to know what somebody means, ask them, not me.

I need to know what you want for christmas. Few notes:
1. This is LITTLE Christmas we're talking about, January 6th.
2. It has to be cheap, okay? Me = poor.
3. If you want to reciprocate, I do have a list of gift ideas in my memories, but it's really not necessary. All I really want is people to nag me to write!
4. If I don't have your address, and you want me to, you can email me. That should be in my profile.
5. My friends on neopets can ask for a neo present instead, especially if they don't want to give out an address.
6. Even if you don't want a present, there's a good chance I'll send a card.
7. Happy whatever!
