"We think the biblical concept of marriage is important and people should take a stand on that side of the argument as well as the one that's in the media right now."

What exactly DOES the Bible say about marriage? Not just the snarky replies like "the Bible supports polygamy" and "the Bible supports rapists" but stuff that's actually relevant. Or is any of it relevant at all in a secular state?

It's not relevant in a secular state.

But in other news, no. The Bible really doesn't say anything about gay marriage. In fact it really doesn't say anything about gays at all.

It sort of does and sort of doesn't say something about gay people. It talks about people giving up their "natural" desires and "burning" for people of their own gender. In some of Paul's letters it lists a whole bunch of people who won't go to heaven and "homsexuals" are included, but since there was no such word as "homosexual" when Paul was writing those letters, you can't say with 100 percent certainty what he actually wrote. And of course there's the Leviticus laws, which say that men who lie with men will be put to death, but you could also be put to death for eating shellfish, so it's hard to take that "law" seriously.
