Okay, lizziey is not actually my sister. She's my foster sister. I've yet to figure out her whole family, and don't intend to start now... although now I suppose I should go condole her.

And here I thought there were two comments about apples when I clicked.

Seriously, I love good apples. And it's harder and harder to buy good cooking apples.

I have three strong, vigorous apple trees from last year's plantings (http://marveen.livejournal.com/155177.html). They're all of six inches tall now, but one is known to be half-Gravenstein. (I do hope some of those yellow tart ones came up.)

I am preserving apple stock as best I can, and next year I hope to have grafted my favorite Northern Spy tree.
