My grandmother had a birdfeeder.

She liked to feed the birds. Now she rarely gets out of her room (and it's not ALL mobility issues). So my uncle took the birdseed and just dumped it all out on the ground and the ledge.

So he yells at my nieces for scattering the birdseed a little more (they *looked* at it) because "It'll attract animals".

Hah. I've seen as many as 10 mice at a time out there enjoying their all-day buffet. There's even free water from the never-cleaned birdbath. And I like mice well enough, they're cute and they don't intend any harm, but we don't need them 5 feet from the house.

And he blames everybody but himself. How hard would it be to sweep up the birdseed and toss it out? C'mon now!

My apartment complex has banned birdfeeders because they tend to spill and attract mice and other critters. =( What your uncle did was just plain stupid, no offense to him. ^^;;

And I agree on the mice. XD They're adorable, but ont when they can possibly get inside the house and take up residence. XD;;;;;
