As per [livejournal.com profile] malantha's request.

A reasonable amount of cooked, unrinsed pasta (may be from a mac 'n cheese kit)
Milk
Half a stick of butter minimum
Significant quantities of cream cheese
Shredded mixed cheeses. Some suggestions are cheddar (for the taste), mozzarella (for the gloppiness), muenster, swiss, monterey jack, parmesean (flavor). Those with explanations are especially reccommended.
Black pepper
Salt
(optional) Chopped ham and/or chopped black olives

Melt the butter into the pasta so that it's all coated. If you're using a cheese mix as well (nothing wrong with that) put it in now. Add some milk and the shredded cheeses. Put it all back on the stove on a low heat until it's fairly melted. Add some more milk and the cream cheese, stir very well so it's all distributed evenly. Keep adding milk as necessary so it's easy to stir but NOT so that it's watery. Add the pepper to taste (I like mine spicy, as everything is better hot), and, if you're having it, the ham/black olives. I'm not a black olives fan, but my dad was. *shrugs* Remember, this is heart attack food, so if you don't have enough fatty cheeses so that you can hear your arteries clogging, you're cheating.

Delicious food, only topped by apple stuff and grilled cheeses with bacon, tomato, and onion (on whole wheat bread). The grilled cheeses aren't quite as good, really, but at least you can eat them more than once a year.

What is a "stick" of butter? I see that in American recipes all the time, and I have no clue what it means.

I'm pretty sure it's butter that's shaped like bar. Usually it only amounts to a cup of butter. I think.

I think I officially have a fear of all macaroni and cheese, not just with ketchup. Because I got the chills when you mentioned it on the other post.

You know, that would sound delicious if I liked cheese :( I could do it with parmesan and that fake cheese powder, I guess. But it wouldn't be the same.
