And a very, very, VERY random question: Why do pimples on or behind the ear hurt more than pimples anywhere else? What's up with that?

I would if it were nowhere near the ear canal, I think. I might try that some time.

Unless it's safely behind the ear or something, make sure you get a friend (who isn't grossed out easily) to do it for you. Just for sense's sake.

It's marginally less painful than squeezing the everloving crap out of it, and I suspect it doesn't send the bacteria quite as far back into the pore.

A hot compress a few times a day will work wonders as well. You can use a wet washcloth, a teabag, and, of course, WonderWarmers! (They really *do* have to get to work on making earmuffs.)
