Children running outside in the snow. Nearly naked.

Not that surprising when you consider that I know several very young children who would jump at the chance to do just that. What is it with kids and taking off all their clothes the second they can? They can practically see their breath some days, and what do they do? Run around naked!

Welcome to my life, where it's all naked, all the time. *sighs* But at least I can say that I hardly ever splash them with cold water.

You don't see abused children joyfully running over to have water dumped on their heads, so I think these kids are fine. If they're having fun and care is taken to avoid overexposure and frostbite (which these kids showed no signs of having), good for them.

"All naked, all the time." Really? [wags eyebrows]

No Thanks for the implication that I'm a pedophile.

That was really insulting, and I don't think I deserved it.

Sorry, I meant to write back sooner, but life goes on, stuff happens, and I just plain forgot until just now, and scanned back to find this. Apology accepted, and I'm sorry that I misinterpreted what you said.

Metaphorically shake hands?

My five year old son Bede has not voluntarily worn clothes for about 2 years. He tried to go out in the snow last winter naked and I let him. He lasted about 15 seconds.

That's what Autism Every Day looks like around here.

Only naked, and not snowy.

ROFL, I was a "naked in snow" kid, and not just as a kid either; I was still doing it well into my 20's.

The thing about going naked in snow is the working up to it. If you wait till you're sweaty under your clothes, then take them all off, you'll be deliciously cool for 10 seconds, but freezing in 15. However, if you gradually take off layers as you get warmer before you break a sweat, you can get down to bare skin in below-zero temps, as long as you keep your activity-level up.

LOL, yeah, I'm weird, but I'm not the only one. Check it out:

Got to wear shoes; if you walk on snow for more than a couple minutes, your feet will get frostbitten. Keep the head and feet warm and dry, and the rest of the body will pretty-well regulate themselves. Also, the terrain he's hiking in is not very friendly to bare feet under any circumstances.
