Wednesday is the day when overheardnyc posts compilations of quotes around themes. Today, one of the compilations is all about the WTC.

The title says it all, both here and when you click the link.

This one has to be the silliest:

NO FUCKING SHIT THERE ISN'T REALLY THAT MUCH TO SEE. That's the whole point, and if you don't get it, I'd really prefer you go be a tourist somewhere else. Like Schenectady, or maybe Boise. Even just another part of the city would be better.

You know, I tend to get annoyed with New Yorkers who act all snotty about anyone who isn't from New York expressing their feelings about 9/11, saying that no one who isn't a New Yorker "really understands."

Then I remember that New Yorkers have to deal with idiots like this, and all of a sudden I'm willing to cut them a whole lot more slack.
