Time to brine that turkey!

I had some tough moments at the store where I wanted to scrap the turkey idea altogether and go with a duck, but maybe I can get a duck to go with the ham I want for New Years. Or some duck just to freeze...?

I'll see if I can convince Jenn and 'dul to take their still-frozen turkey to the food pantry or whatnot.

I was looking at a duck, and should have got it. Got a turkey instead. Will start brining soon.

And then I looked at a goose but I never even ate one, much less attempted to cook one. And for the price, I didn't want to take the chance.
