What is that? I can't even comment. I think I'm honestly going to cry. Forget Bush getting elected, if this thing passes, I'm out of here. Gone to Canada or Australia or England or ANYwhere. At that point, I'll want nothing to do with this country anymore, and I'd strongly advise my friends to do the same. This is just fucked up. Checks and balances exist to prevent this sort of nonsense.

Erg, I just about starting screaming when I saw that. This is fucked up beyong belief. Who would have thought Bush would completely destroy the entire constitution.

The Supreme Court has way too much power, IMO. I'm not sure this is the way to fix it, and I'm not sure a simple bill would work (seems like it ought to be an amendment) but I personally am sick of the courts interpreting the constitution to mean whatever they want it to.

The courts were created to do just that. Legislature creates it, and the judicial system interprets it.
