Do you know what I saw at the Genovese* yesterday?

Oh, go ahead - guess. It's something disturbing and wrong.

Cinnamon scented cinnamon sticks.

Seriously, that's what it said on the packaging. It also said that they were "not edible" and for "decorative purposes only".

And here I thought my sister was weird for wanting to hang cinnamon on her tree. At least her cinnamon isn't cinnamon scented.

My mother wants to hang spoons, which strikes me as more weird than cinnamon, but also cooler. We're a very odd family in some ways.

*Technically, it's a Rite Aid. It *was* a Genovese, then it became an Eckerds for 10 years or so, and now it's a Rite Aid. But if Random Teenager who works there can expound on the subject, and he wasn't even *born* when the name changed the first time, I feel justified in saying that I'm not wrong.

Yeahhhh. I've seen those things before. I wonder if using actual cinnamon sticks as potpourri has some sort of drawback? I haven't actually had much interaction with cinnamon sticks. Do they leave a stain or something?

I really like the spoon idea. It's neat. :)

I'm guessing it has more to do with the fact that cinnamon sticks don't smell like the fake cinnamon scent that people think they should/want them to smell like.

When I lived in Germany, we were poor-ish, and I hung kinder egg toys on my tree.
