Let me just say that watching the two of them walking hand in hand, Ana carefully holding both sandbuckets so her sister wouldn't fall, to play together all over the sandbox?

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. I could fit a few more w's in there, even!

Ana (finishing her time-out): Okay. I won't pour water on my sister.
Me: Great. I know you meant well, but it's Not Nice. Evangeline, now you can give your sister back her bucket.
Evangeline: MINE! (Or, more accurately: "Wait, what? This bucket? The one I've been trying to give to Ana all through her time-out? it's MINE!!!")
Ana: Can I have it Eva? Please?
Me: Why don't you show your sister the other bucket so she can have that one?
Ana: Okay. *takes Evangeline, gives her the orange bucket, then takes it back*
Me: Wait - give it to her!
Ana: No, I'm going to hold it until I can fill it up, then I'll give it to her. Come on, Sister.
Me: Uh... no...
Ana (smiling): She won't drink the water. I won't let her. If she drinks the water, I'll tell her not to, and I'll take the bucket away. I promise. *takes Evangeline's hand and walks off*
Evangeline: BYE! BYE-BYE!
Me: Well, this is just going to end badly.

But other than the fact that Evangeline loves to eat sand (and drink sandy water, apparently), it didn't. They played together, Ana helping Evangeline, Evangeline following her big sister, for a good 45 minutes before I dragged them out of the sandbox.

Written out, it sounds like a nothing of a story, but it was adorable while it was happening.
