Really screwed everything all up, too.

PPT seems to think it's only for a week. To be honest, I was thinking "green jelly" myself about this. (And if that wasn't a waste of a plot, I don't know what is....)

But it seems like an awful lot of effort to go through for a drawn-out prank. It's probably just wishful thinking on my part.

In other news, I'm only about 20k from my NP goal. Not sure if I want it anymore, but....

It is quite possible that they will revert part of it in order to force relieved gratitude from a lot of players- for example, making pets customisable by choice would appease most people.

That said, I think I'm one of the few people who doesn't mind it all that much. I'm more worried about the kind of things it's encouraging people to say, like all the secret bitching about people who've disagreed with popular opinion. And if one more person who's quit before this says "gee, I'm so glad I quit ages ago" I might throttle them. You quit- what are you doing going round the site looking at the revamp?

I don't like change on general principles, and I'm a firm believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". But the only thing that really irks me about the new layout (other than not knowing where anything is anymore - the layout is really unintuitive to me, but I haven't hung around much yet) is all that damned grayspace in the margins! I like my page to take up... well... most of the page. Not to have most of it devoted to being gray. (Or even grey.)

You quit- what are you doing going round the site looking at the revamp?

Being annoying would be my guess.

I've been racking up my NP really slowly just by doing my normal dailies. Now that I'm so close, I'm not sure I want to alter my method, even for the best :)

I am upset. I have a Neopets account, but I forgot to login for a while, and now they want me to input my birthdate. I must have put it in wrong when I signed up, because it doesn't work, and now I can't access my NP or my pets or anything, and I HAVE A BABY BUZZ. >:

I don't, actually. I signed up when I was 18, and I had a terrible tendency to make up birthdates, because I was so paranoid about stalkers. I have the sinking feeling I may have done that here.

I don't like it because of the fixed-width problem, the gray space (which is related, of course), all the boxes, and the WORST thing, which is that every time I open a page it takes WAAAAAAY too long to load, and the stupid ads are a huge burden. It used to be that crap would load in the background and I could do my business on a page (say, grabbing jelly) and move on before all the garbage had even loaded. Now, nothing works until the whole page considers itself done, and it's making me crazy. I have already had to just give up and close the browser numerous times because I am going to throw things if I keep trying to play. I hardly think it reasonable to make me sit through their pathetically bad programming on EVERY PAGE.

I am not happy that you don't like it either, but I am gratified because I know you are SMART.

I have IE. I use MS stuff primarily because we work in consulting on MS technologies, that's what our business is, so it's easiest for me to just use them because I need to QA everything on them, etc.

I have SpySweeper which seems to block some of the ads, but not all, and it doesn't seem to help with the "52 images loading" that I now have to sit through. Sigh. This may be the end of NeoPets for me, which is such a drag, but I don't think I can cope.

Also, because computers are my job, I run my resolution small (at least compared to the average user, as far as I can tell - I had no idea anyone out there was still running 800x600), and now my Pets are almost impossible to make out on the black background! They are so tiny that they are no fun to look at.
