So, I've been reading a little bit on the Little Ice Age.

In the past 40 minutes or so, that is.

And there's just one thing to take from what I've learned - quick climate change is a bitch.

Really.

So, again I say - the cause of climate change doesn't matter except inasmuch as we can lessen or eliminate it. What matters is how we deal with what's already happening. The damage is done. It's time to find ways around, and I don't see people, on a large scale, doing that.

On the plus side, there's going to be two big specials on network TV on Friday all about global warming. That's starting to get pretty mainstream. The tide may be turning, but whether we're up to doing what's needed, I don't know.

You know, I've been wondering...WHERE THE FUCK IS THIS GLOBAL WARMING OF WHICH YOU SPEAK?!? Just saying, because around here...well, there was a SNOW DAY off of school monday. And have you any idea how much snow is required for THAT to happen here? SOMEONE BUILT A SNOWMAN. My area is apparently avoiding this global warming thing... ~~lizziey

As I've said before, global warming doesn't mean that every area gets warmer every day. It means global climate change - some areas get warmer, others get colder.

Coastal areas (like NY state) are going to have a lot of cold, wet springs because, as the ice melts, it flows into the ocean and messes up with the currents - bringing cold, wet weather with it. This was predicted a few years before we started seeing it happening, so, yeah, I think global warming is still going on.
