This article doesn't mention his diagnosis, but earlier articles, when his foster family was claiming he was lost, do.

It's a very disturbing story, be aware.

And I can't even say anything about it. There aren't any words for this.

Yeah, that was all over the paper today, though I don't recall seeing autism in any of the articles. (To be fair, today's is the first set I really read closely, but.) They did call him ADHD, which... kids have short attention spans anyway. But none of the above are good reason to leave a kid in a closet over the weekend.

There are just... no words for people sometimes. The placement people are getting a lot of heat, and losing a lot of business, for whatever part they might have had in sticking the kid with a rotten family. Dad said he heard something that said it wasn't the first time they'd locked the kid in a closet, either.
I don't get it. I really, really don't.

I'm glad they're not consistently mentioning autism, because it's awful regardless of whether he's autistic, so it's not a really important detail. And it's nice to see an article that takes that approach.

Awful though. A truly awful thing to have happen.
