Oh, she knows. She can read dog, and bus, and Ana, and cat. I've seen her do it, sans prompting. When she refused to do it when Jenn was around, she was just holding out on me, messing with my mind.

Like that time we were playing "What starts with buh buh buh?" and she said ball and bird and bat and bear and book in rapid succession - then saw how happy and excited I was and immediately reverted to "buh buh tree? Buh buh yeaf? Buh buh CONNIE!" I'm on to her little games. (In all honesty, what I think is just that when she learns something, she doesn't want to commit to it right away, so I'm not as upset as I sound. It's just irritating, y'know?)

Oh, she was totally messing with me. It was really irritating, here I am, trying to show her off like a prize dog to her mom, and... nuthin'. Gah!
