If you're friends-only, why is that? If you don't mind telling me, that is :)

I mean, is it because you actually had somebody objectionable posting in your journal or reading it? Or is it just a general feeling of privacy?

If you're not completely friends-only (some posts are public, or you make public posts but only friends can comment or somesuch), why is it that way?

Why are you answering my question?

Some of my entries are public but the majority of the entries are friends-only... I usually do this because I'm not completely comfortable with having all of my thoughts open for everyone to see. I'm not too worried about having my friends in RL read it because only two know about it and I tell them the majority of my thoughts anyway. I guess that part of it is also the fact that I have a hard time being open to anyone, even friends that I'm pretty close too.
