If you're friends-only, why is that? If you don't mind telling me, that is :)

I mean, is it because you actually had somebody objectionable posting in your journal or reading it? Or is it just a general feeling of privacy?

If you're not completely friends-only (some posts are public, or you make public posts but only friends can comment or somesuch), why is it that way?

I had mine friends only for about a week because a few people from an old community I was in were incredibly nasty in their comments and were posting my posts on other forums, which I didn't appreciate.

I customize who reads what entries. Sometimes I'm bitching about someone and I just don't want them to know about it. Or I'd rather not have people that I regularly deal with know when I'm going through a personal crisis because they try to help and I don't like that sometimes.

Boredom mostly. And also I'd noticed that several of my friends were friends-only. Some of them I know why, but others I don't, so I thought it might be interesting to know.
