If you're friends-only, why is that? If you don't mind telling me, that is :)

I mean, is it because you actually had somebody objectionable posting in your journal or reading it? Or is it just a general feeling of privacy?

If you're not completely friends-only (some posts are public, or you make public posts but only friends can comment or somesuch), why is it that way?

Why are you answering my question?

For example I made a post awhile back about thinking my friend had stolen my art style, and didn't want her to read it.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Most of my friends only stuff is either:

1. Stuff that's in a special filter so that it doesn't clog up the lists of other people (like if I post a thing about "yeah, we can meet up on friday", I'll post it just for the people I'm meeting up with)
2. Occasionally... well, just once, stuff I want one person NOT to see
3. Stuff that relates to private posts in other people's journals... if they want that privacy, I won't be the one to break it. Again, that usually goes in a separate filter so most of my friends never will get to see it.

Adds up to very few posts, actually, especially since most of those get deleted or made public after a few weeks have passed.
