And when I left this morning (neglecting to bring the check I was supposed to bring, of course) I *know* I said bye to 'dul. He didn't hear me, and never locked the door behind me. Now he's mad, saying I never said I was leaving, and I can't stay over anymore.
Let's look at this:
1. I've several times not heard something another person has said. If I say that, I get told by EVERYONE that "just because you don't hear it doesn't mean it doesn't happen". Sometimes I have to endure snide comments about "Connie thinks that if she didn't hear it, it doesn't count". I don't know why there are different standards for me and 'dul.
2. More importantly, he knew I was leaving. If he didn't find out I'd left until noon or later, what was going on? He knew I had to be gone in the morning, didn't it occur to him to check and say "Hm, I wonder if Connie knows she should've left SEVERAL HOURS ago?" or "I wonder if she left and I didn't notice?"
*sighs*
