So, neocolours is dead.
Nov. 30th, 2005 08:07 pmWe killed it. With our love.
Or, more appropriately, Sam got bored and forgot us all.
And now I want to re-make the whole site. Because I'm weird that way. I wonder what sort of free web-hosting there is in this world....
(Joined the temp. fora, by the way, for anybody who knows what I'm talking about)

Date: 2005-12-01 06:23 am (UTC)It wouldn't be too difficult to set up the colour viewing bit, and checking for new colours wouldn't be the most difficult thing either, but considering its size you'd probably need quite a hefty server to keep it running.
So, well, if you ever need some help with that part, I'd be available.

Date: 2005-12-01 04:29 pm (UTC)A somewhat larger site that I do some stuff for with something like 3500 visitors a day and quite hefty scripting needs currently requires around $40, but I don't think this site would reach that right away.

Date: 2005-12-01 05:48 am (UTC)1) seeing previews of new colors and getting to make blunt opinions about them.
2) seeing other people's Neo-artwork and getting to request adoptables/customs/commissions if I wanted
3) a few really spiffy people I've met there!! :-D
4) the murder mystery! What hilarity!
I guess I'd gotten so accustomed to the boards being down and just avoiding it on occasion when I didn't have the energy to "filter" out the stupids (though it would've made for a nice Firefox download I just got)...that I just don't miss it very much.
