Why must they be white?

Seriously, I am *so sick* of the "white lights" trend for Christmas decorations. Bring back the colors!

I prefer white. Or blue. They're soothing. The others irritate me. Especially when they flash.

Christmas lights often make me feel sick - I'm very sensitive to certain lighting issues. The white ones that don't flash don't bother me, so I like them a lot more.

Agreed on the flashing, though I don't get irritated by colored lights. Well, if I did, I'd hardly want to see more of them.

I like colours but I HATE flashing. But blue lights are the best. Or purple. Have you ever seen strings of just purple lights? V. pretty.

The little lights themselves on our tree are white, but they go inside these larger blue bulbs and make them glow... the effect is really gorgeous.

I rarely like the coloured ones now I'm not a child. I find the mismatch of colour aesthetically displeasing.

My city has white primarily, but one section has just red. Including a huge (deciduous) tree which has them all along its branches. Very pretty. Coloured lights would look very ugly in York I think.

Nothing but white lights on my tree when I grow up. And simple gold bobbles, or whatever they're called. Simplicity and elegance makes me happy. ^_^
