Which is fine, I'm not upset. However, I worry that some people might currently be keeping me on their friends lists because I have them on mine. If this is the case, I implore you, just remove me. It's possible that I'm doing the same thing, and we'll both be happier with mutual removal! So, if you wanna defriend me, seriously, you should go ahead and do it. In fact, in defiance of most LJ memes, I'm here to announce that cutting names off your friends list is a profound and freeing experience. By cutting my friends list down, I don't feel bad about skimming - there's less skimming. I don't feel stressed that omg, I may have missed something very important! It's great. I should've done this months ago.

So, um, yeah. If you want to defriend me, go right on ahead. Feel the freedom in your new friends list.

Oh, and youse guys who keep adding me, unadding me, adding me again? You know who you are. Why do you do that? It's very confusing.

Maybe it's just "I have free time, let's add conuly she writes so well; shit, exams, let's drop conuly she writes so much"? Don't overanalyze it. :)

Hmmm it is wierd.

It's a cabal of people trying to drive you mad!

Hahaha, they don't know it's already too late.

I got defriended a while ago. It's kind of a blow at first to the ego, but eventually I realized those people weren't really worth a shit in the first place.

It's always nice to know a true friend from a phony friend.

I think a lot of people defriend not because they felt obliged to keep you on their FL, but because a lot of people don't like friending someone who doesn't have them friended back.

It's funny. I "offended" someone a couple months ago (never DID hear from him again!) so much that he blocked me on AIM, all that, but didn't defriend me. I didn't even notice until he wrote a post that made me go "gawd, you're still an idiot." I defriended him, and not 15 hours later... he'd defriended me. Obsessive much? :x

I enjoy your journal, links, and had planned to read you even if you defriended me.
I had a serial adder who kept adding me, deleting me, re-adding me, very odd. I finally banned her.

Here's a thing. I sometimes consider defriending you because you write a lot about stuff I'm not interested in and have nothing to say.

But then you write an interesting post and I comment on it and we have a discussion and I realise I want you on my friends list.

It's odd that, but I will confess to skimming you occasionally, but not often enough to want to defriend you.

You're one of those posters that makes me wish El Jay would let one friend specific tags, so I would get those tags of yours covering the subjects I lie your entries on.

That's all. I'm keeping you, though.

Right. This would be nice.

Yeah, friends filters are ike that. Even the technically 'opt-in' ones. I try to keep as many of my posts public as possible, and I want readers to have control of what they read, not the writer.

Well, not all the time.

I have no troubles keeping up with my friends list (well, except during High Holidays... but it's not like we have High Holidays twice a month, LOL) so you're not going to get rid of me that easily ;]

No fair, Tishrei is a month full of High Holidays! :D

. o O (well, it's finally over, so now I've lost my main excuse... er... wait... that sort of weakens my argument, saying that...)
