Y'know what?
Nov. 2nd, 2005 07:31 pmI just don't have the stamina for NaNoWriMo. 50,000 words? In a month? That's a lot.
And I'm sick of not having anything to participate in. So, this month, I give you: NaHaWriMo. Yes, National Haiku Writing Month. Seventeen syllables. Thirty days. Can you handle the pressure? *makes dramatic music noises*
Except that's kinda wussy, so maybe it'll be one haiku a day for the... um... rest of the month? Hm. *gets to work*
NaNoWriMo's here.
But I don't wanna do it.
Hence: NaHaWriMo.
*sweatdrop*
That was hard! But fun! Tune in tomorrow for the next thrilling installation in: NaHaWriMo! (Assuming I can keep up the frenetic pace in this fast world of haiku!)
Edit: In all seriousness, I'm considering doing plain poetry every day at this time next year. Because I can. Doesn't have to be haiku.

Does it sound silly to you?
Novels are boring.
Heh heh heh
Date: 2005-11-03 01:02 am (UTC)I rather like the idea
It might just catch on

Date: 2005-11-04 02:25 am (UTC)Alas, I have not linked yet
But made some icons.
Sorry, I was feeling rather silly. Here they are: NaHaWriMo #1 (http://pics.livejournal.com/masterflare421/pic/0000pks9) and NaHaWriMo #2 (http://pics.livejournal.com/masterflare421/pic/0000qtyr). I would have animated them together, but I spent most of the day researching pixel fonts.

Date: 2005-11-03 01:30 am (UTC)Whose meter just never would scan!
When told this was so
He said "Yes, I know"
But I always try to get as many words in the last line as I possibly can!
(Not a haiku, nor yet an original work. Sorry)

(I promise I can count today.)

Date: 2005-11-04 09:44 am (UTC)Oh, finally someone who's *not* doing NaNoWriMo!
Date: 2005-11-03 02:05 pm (UTC)In September I made 9 full colour pages of comic all by myself (and October was 4 solid weeks of Jewish holidays), so I'm not sure I'm ready to take on another Big Accomplishment, especially when I should be 1. writing a research paper 2. run Teh Experiment in Teh Lab. Oy vey! But I still need to write 'cause 1. it's fun 2. it gets me money. So I've decided I'd write a novelette or novella or something instead of doing a full Nano novel.
NaHaWriMo also sounds like fun ;]
