I woke up sometime after midnight and realized Ana had crawled into bed with me.

Woke up again a little later, and thought she might like a blanket. Then I didn't really wake up until a bit before she did, at 7:30. I'm usually out the door an hour earlier. I tell you, that extra hour of sleep makes all the difference.

Baby (EVIE! NO MATTER WHAT ANYBODY TELLS YOU! Though Ana's compromise of Ay-vee is interesting) was born at about 3 this morning. Same length as Ana was (19.5 inches), but six or so ounces less (7 pounds, 3 ounces for the new baby). She's quite cute, and cuddly, and light. I remember when Ana was first born, I thought she and Seth, each alone, were soooooo heavy, and hugely tiny, but this one now just seems light and tiny.

And the cutest tiny little fingernails.

There was a rocking chair in the room, so I took it after Ana gave it up. I love rocking chairs. After a while, I just zoned out for a bit, rocking back and forth with my eyes closed by pulling on the back of the chair.

I'll post pictures soon. And demand an icon.
