She's useful. Not just in the general sense that she can sweep and help wash dishes and all, but in that, by being so wonderful, I can more effectively roll my eyes at other people's bad behaviour. Not other children, that's not fair, I know children develop at different rates, but otherwise competent adults.

Example: Why is that person whining to get what she wants? Geez, even my two-year-old niece knows the best way to get something is to be nice and friendly!

I can do that for things ranging from the really annoying (the whining) to the completely stupid and judgmental (omg, you don't know the capital of Canada?).

I don't do it aloud. That also would be wrong, since it's rude to tell people they're rude. But I can do it in my head and get a wonderful feeling of self-rightousness.

God I'm a jerk sometimes.

I'm slightly more evil and jerkish than that. *g*

I watch many kids and think "yikes, most of my *cats* are more well-behaved and responsive to requests than that!"

(I don't feel superior, myself, though, because I'm not the cat. The cats themselves wouldn't care either way, provided I wasn't 'wasting' their kitty treats trying to teach a toddler to sit or something. ;)

Though I do have to ask one thing -- is it genuine knowledge for somebody to be able to recite back the capital of Canada if the person doing it doesn't know what Canada is in the first place? (I usually differentiate between genuine knowledge and memorized information, I'm surprised you aren't.)
