This, too, is normal. Or, not normal, just not abnormal.

See, in the northeast, we typically get a lot of rain in October. We're flooding now because... well, I don't know about New England, but I suspect that it, like New York, didn't really get any rain this summer. And that's normal too. I can't remember the last year we went through a summer without a drought watch on.

Yes, we got a bit less water this summer than usual, but, c'mon. Some summers have to be "very dry", or else what's a heaven for?

You got flooding too? It's not hit my area yet, but no doubt it will soon. Of course, earlier this summer we had a month's worth of rain in an hour *shrugs*

But yeah, flooding is the one thing we do have in the UK, so this certainly isn't abnormal.

i'm in boston for Yom kippur and its raining here till saturday. Grrr, it better not rain when I return to NY on Sunday or I'll be an unhappy camper
