OMG. He buttoned his shirt wrong.

This, apparently, is why he's not suited to be president.

Not because he's a screw-up several times over, not because he lied to get us into a war, not because he's running us into the ground - but because his lack of ability to get dressed in the morning proves that he's a "retard".

I often misbutton my shirt - not just mine, but Ana's, if she's wearing something with buttons. And I often don't notice. I've left the house with shirts that were inside-out, shirts that were backward, shirts that were inside-out *and* backward. One time, I left the house with mismatched shoes. They were completely different weights, the soles were different heights, they were different colors, and I didn't notice until I was in Manhattan.

I'm really not sure why the misbuttoned shirt thing is a pressing concern. Not only is it really an offensive thing to be getting worked up about, for reasons I hope I don't have to explain more fully, but it's also just plain stupid. While you're there crying about his shirt, all his remaining supporters are saying "See! This is all they have against him! They're petty! They don't have any real concerns! They're stupid!"

And that's not good to let Bush have the higher moral ground. It's just not.

I think it's more interesting to note that his staff is so petrified by the man (if you believe the rumours), that no one would even speak up to tell him he'd mis-buttoned his shirt.

Were it me, I'd be snickering the whole time, running a pool as to how long it'd take him to notice. Petrified of him? Maybe. But I also have a vindictive streak like that.

Of course, I'd merely consider it funny, not indicative of his mental state.

Ditto. My impression of any misbuttoned-shirt coverage would definitely be, "How does someone who has an entire staff dedicated to making every moment a photo-op miss somthing like this? Aren't there people PAID to notice this sort of thing?" And thus, my conclusion has to be, what is wrong that he doesn't get told about this missed button?
