On my day...
Sep. 12th, 2005 03:06 pm1. 'dul is home, so that makes my life easier.
2. Our story begins when I want to do Ana's hair, and Ana is doing... something, I don't know what. So first she singsongs "Just a second" at me, then she goes "waaaaaaiiiit", then it's "patient!", then it's finally "in a minute" before I pick her up and plop her on the bed to do her hair.
So I'm doing her hair, and she's doing the doll's hair, and we're happy enough, but eventually she starts fidgeting, so I end up yelling at her to "STOP THAT NOW!".
Ana: You mean.
Connie: I'm not mean.
Ana: You mean.
Connie: No, I'm not.
Ana: Yes, you mean.
Connie: No. I'm not.
Ana: YOU MEAN!
Connie: *sighs* Well, I'm rubber and you're glue, and everything you say bounces off of me and sticks to you, except for good things, so nyah.
Ana: MEAN!
Connie: Yes, you *are* being mean to me.
Ana: Wha?
Ah, it's so much *fun* to have a little mind to warp. Fun, I tell you, FUN!
But we just missed the boat. And then all the boats (and busses) seem to be running late today, so we really were late for the toddler thing in the park.
Ah well, it was fun anyway. Kids running around with wings on, tomorrow I'm going to bring Ana's toy stroller and the cheapass balls my mom buys, that'll be good.
And she sat through one entire story and two songs before she started to get bored, and she still hung around a bit (while playing with something) for the last story, at the end. She's getting so grown up! *hugs*
After the stories, it's time to clean up, which she helped a lot with - she really is maturing. Of course, I say that, but then she goes and throws a massive temper tantrum while we're trying to walk. *sighs*
And here's my apology. She had a toy comb in her pocket, and it must've fallen out, because she tried to pick it up, saying "comb fell" and "I picka up comb!". But I didn't understand her, and didn't listen, and now it's lost, and I feel bad. Ana, I know you can't read, but when you learn, and google for yourself, I hope you see this and know I'm sorry. I was wrong, I should've listened to you. *hugs*
And 'dul's home, so I'm debating heading to the Borders by the boat to read.
