Other than "That's really not the case, and you're making a lot of assumptions here...."

So if anybody wants to tackle this, politely, you probably should. I'll mess it up.

Key sentence which hit my "that's not true...." meter:

Finding a cure for autism isn't entirely aweful either. We are very high functioning, but there are alot of those with autism who would really love to be able to get out of a diaper and date and do normal things that we have the ability to do. I think if we could prevent severe autism, it would be wonderful.

Sheesh, everything's irritating me lately, isn't it? I should take a break from reading stuff.

I did, and thanks to wakasplat's many essays at Autistics.org I was able to easily just point the woman at an avalanche of data contradicting her assumptions about us. :)

Going to post in my LJ to make sure others see it and correct the woman as well.
