So, Xiggy left....
Jul. 14th, 2005 12:06 amAnd this post made my day. There's hope for the future.
It also started me thinking. I'm going to scrap nearly all my memories and start from scratch, doing *mostly* entries that other people have made. Can anybody link me to entries like the my uncle's boyfriend brings me cookies post or the fundies and showtunes post? Stuff that's interesting, funny, whatever. Double kudos if you also link to stuff I've written, because I'm egocentric and love to see how I've been memorable. I'd be much obliged for the help, and amabo te.

Date: 2005-07-13 08:55 pm (UTC)It is simply not the place of a camp counsellor or other stranger to push their values on my children without my knowledge or permission. Sunday school is one thing, camp is another, unless I sent them to a religious camp or other sort of situation where I knew that a certain political/religious agenda was going to be in place. (And this could very well be such a camp.)
You know people would be all over this if it went the other way, if the camp was pushing a right wing agenda, and encouraging the kids to be pro-Bush, pro-war.
