(I know, you hadn't noticed, right?)

Um. Oh yeah. Since I post a lot of articles, I thought I'd create a poll to see which articles are the most appreciated. Because I HAVE A PAID ACCOUNT I DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR NYAH! (Well, I do pay for it. With my soul. But not with money, so NYAH!)

On question #1... I thought you meant in real life, was I right?

Um, I wasn't sure about question 1 - I answered "yes" because you know who I am internet-wise, but we have not met IRL. I consider lots of my LJ friends to be someone I "know," but you might feel differently ...

I read the articles that are about "people" in general; psychology-type articles and ones about a culture, which I don't think fits under the categories given.

I like your real posts better than the link ones, BUT of the link ones, the autism ones are probably the most interesting to me.

On question 2, I included other in my answer, but that's because I answered the question as if it were asking what sorts of articles might I read. Whether or not I actually read them comes down to their my computer's speed that day, how busy I am, and their length.

What I read depends a lot on what mood I'm in and how much I feel up to reading. I've got a working text-to-speech reader now, so sometimes I'm listening to articles. Also, whether i read an article depends on the layout of the site it's on and such. I don't link to much, but every now and then when something especially catches my interest and I don't feel lazy.

I might read some fandom stuff, but not usually. I definitely will not check out animations or flash stuff.

However, llama. Definitely llama.

I don't read most of the links you post, but occasionally one will catch my interest. It happens most often when they're not about politics/religion/gay rights. Keep posting those if you like to, of course, but I get a little tired of reading criticisms of my beliefs ;)

What? No option for llama-rama?

I know it's very integral to your identity or whatever, but I get tired of all of the autusm links. They basically read the same after a while. But that's okay; I just don't click them anymore. I'd like more varied psychology links if you felt like posting them. :)

Do I know you?

Correct (omitted) selection: "Yeah, but not really - I mean, only from LJ, and none to well at that."

Actual selection: "Yes"

Well, I'm not sure how much attention you have paid to who I am, so I chose "Don't think so."

And I rarely read autism links (although I should -- my son has Asperger's) and I try to stay away from politics. But I do read most gay rights things, and some general civil rights things.

And, honestly, I may be leaving LiveJournal, as it seems I'm persona non grata anyway. So, my opinion likely matters much less than anyone else's.

I'll read any LJ related links and once in a blue moon one of the other links.

I regularly skim bbc.com, economist.com, cbc.ca on my own and thus read anywhere from 12-36 articles a day, plus I usually read posts by people that I know in real life.

I'll also click on links that friends provide if their in-depth discussion of a given article perks my interest enough, namely I'll read it to see what sparked their analysis/critique/response.

I tend not to follow links all that much.

If you reproduce the article behind a cut, though, I may or may not click through to read it.

I certainly don't read everything you post; the volume alone makes that impractical for me.

Am trying to remember what I tend to click on...generally it's anything that catches my eye and looks interestng at the moment. Usually articles about not-quite-as-controversial things look more consistently interesting. :-) (Or articles on controversial things that are actually articles -- NYT, BBC, etc., not just bloggity opinion pieces. I don't mind reading your bloggity commentary on stuff -- that's usually fun, probably because I sort-of-know-you vs. you being some random person who doesn't agree with me).
