I didn't view the Times articles as negatively... but I read into them in ways that apparently many may not. I viewed her eating habits as an effect of her class, not something to blame her for.

They're right about the advantages of the rich, and it makes me very sad. Although I still wish I could have followed the course of wealth that was my more likely destiny. And I know that as bad as things are for me, they would be far, far worse if I didn't have the class start I had. And I keep seeing the effects on other people with problems much like mine who have to face far worse than I do. Because if you're from the upper class and you get sick, they are more likely to take you seriously. And you know the right words to say. If you want good health care, be thin, be young, be knowledgeable, speak the language, and seem smart and competent.
